Job Summary:

As a Product Safety Engineer (m/f/d) on the Power tools and Battery, you will work on a variety of projects and provide high quality certification service to meet the clients’ needs. You'll have the ability to interpret standards, follow processes and procedures, as well as provide technical guidance.

Your tasks:

• Independent performance and evaluation of electrical safety tests on batteries, cells and hand-held power tools (e.g. circular and angle grinders, drills, high-pressure cleaners, etc.) 
• Risk- and hazard analyses with regard to electrical safety aspects
• Preparation of Certification reports in English language for national and international based customers
• Development and improvement of innovative measuring methods
• Demonstrates thorough technical competence to perform testing per divisional quality documents
• Provides technical information service to external and internal customers
• Conducts field trips and witnesses test work at manufacturer's facilities as required

Your qualification:

• Completed studies (Diploma, Bachelor, Master); alternatively completed apprenticeship as electrician (m/f/d) with further training as state certified technician (m/f/d) or foremen (m/f/d) in Electrical Engineering, Communications and Information Technology or comparable with electrical engineering knowledge
• 2-5 years of professional experience in a comparable function desirable
• Knowledge of national/international standards and test procedures for various product types, including batteries and power tools
• Ability to work independently, systematic and unsupervised in a team-based work environment 
• Flexibility and good interpersonal skills with abilities to communicate effectively
• Good knowledge of German and English (written and spoken)
• Demonstrated awareness of safety principles
