Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • Five to eight or more years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, strategic finance, or a related area is required.
  • Experience supporting executive leadership teams is required.
  • Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and performance management experience is required.
  • Experience implementing or enhancing financial planning and reporting systems is required.
  • Experience with Power BI, financial reporting platforms, and enterprise resource planning systems is required.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities are required.
  • A strong understanding of income statements, budgeting, forecasting, and key performance indicator development is required.
  • The employee must be able to work Monday through Friday between 7 AM and 5 PM, with work at other times as needed to meet business needs.
  • Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a background and drug test.
Responsibilities
  • Drive financial planning, forecasting, strategic analysis, and business insights that support enterprise decision-making.
  • Partner with executive leadership, operations, business unit leaders, and finance stakeholders to deliver actionable financial intelligence, improve forecasting accuracy, support equity and capital allocation strategies, and advance financial technology capabilities.
  • Develop long-range financial plans, revenue forecasts, performance reporting, and strategic initiatives.
  • Build scalable financial processes and analytical tools that support profitable growth.
  • Support the development and execution of enterprise equity planning strategies.
  • Analyze ownership, dilution, valuation, and succession-related scenarios.
  • Prepare financial models and presentations for Board and executive-level discussions.
  • Assist with long-term capital allocation planning and strategic investment evaluations.
  • Develop scenario analyses to assess the financial impacts of different equity and ownership structures.
  • Partner with executives, legal, tax, and external advisors on equity-related initiatives.
  • Own and continuously improve revenue forecasting methodologies.
  • Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes across business units.
  • Analyze revenue trends, project pipelines, backlog conversion, labor utilization, and market conditions.
  • Identify forecast risks and opportunities and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Develop predictive models and reporting tools to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Communicate forecast assumptions and financial implications to leadership.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly income statement analysis.
  • Monitor and explain variances between actual, budget, forecast, and prior-year performance.
  • Identify drivers affecting profitability, margins, SG&A, EBITDA, and operating income.
  • Develop executive-level reporting and dashboards that improve visibility into business performance.
  • Support annual budgeting and long-range planning processes.
  • Recommend strategies to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain enterprise financial and operational KPIs.
  • Develop dashboards and scorecards for executive leadership and business partners.
  • Analyze trends, identify root causes of performance gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure consistent KPI definitions and reporting methodologies across the organization.
  • Provide insights supporting strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Conduct financial modeling and business case development for strategic initiatives.
  • Support M&A evaluations, market expansion opportunities, capital investments, and business transformation efforts.
  • Perform sensitivity analyses and scenario planning for key business decisions.
  • Partner with executives to evaluate emerging business opportunities and risks.
  • Prepare financial recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Lead implementation and optimization of FP&A technologies, reporting tools, and automation solutions.
  • Partner with IT, data, and business stakeholders to improve data quality and accessibility.
  • Drive adoption of business intelligence, reporting, and analytics platforms.
  • Develop scalable forecasting, planning, and reporting processes.
  • Use automation and artificial-intelligence-enabled tools to improve efficiency and decision-support capabilities.
  • Drive continuous improvement across FP&A processes and systems.
  • Serve as a business partner to executive leadership and functional leaders.
  • Mentor analysts and support development of finance team capabilities.
  • Build cross-functional relationships across operations, human resources, accounting, project controls, and business leadership.
  • Influence decision-making through fact-based financial insights.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • An MBA, Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, or Chartered Financial Analyst designation is preferred.
  • Data analytics, visualization, and automation experience is preferred.
  • Experience supporting employee ownership, employee stock ownership plans, equity planning, or succession planning initiatives is preferred.
  • Experience in construction, engineering, specialty contracting, professional services, or project-based organizations is preferred.
  • Experience leading finance technology transformations and automation initiatives is preferred.
