Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience as a finance leader, with at least three years of owning and driving all financial strategies in a B2B SaaS scale up
  • 4 years experience in early-stage private fundraising in venture capital
  • Fluent in financial modeling and operating metrics, able to take the latest of both and prepare them for presentations and data room exhibits
  • Experience with writing (or assessing) enterprise contracts
  • Proven expertise in leading FP&A
  • Proven leadership skills with strong cross-departmental management skills
  • Experience managing the financial needs arising from consecutive years of significant growth
  • Experience managing cash and working capital credit facilities
  • An ability to strongly partner with Operations, and Go to Market leadership to drive and provide insights and guidance on departmental strategy
  • A demonstrated understanding of how to increase profitability over time through a cross-functional strategy
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced remote environment
Responsibilities
  • Serve as strategic partner to CEO: not just managing the numbers of the business equation, but also finding new impactful levers that are not currently being utilized for maximum return
  • Manage the P&L, balance sheet, and (most importantly in early stages) cashflows. Serve as controller-in-chief, and help us to institute a strong financial know-how into our product, systems, and processes
  • Demonstrate a strong bias for action by build out infrastructure, systems, and KPIs for accounting and overall operations with the goal of creating automation around existing manual processes
  • Serve as a member of the senior leadership team reporting directly to the CEO and as a direct interface with Workera's board of directors
  • Maximize the existing business momentum via strong modeling and financial strategy that will allow high growth while maximizing profitability and healthy cash management
  • Own the P&L on a monthly and annual basis, with a strong emphasis on planning and analysis that enables cross-functional teams to maximize their work
  • Live and breathe cash management and optimize our working capital requirements
  • Lead all aspects of accounting
  • Serve as a “most valued partner” to cross-functional leadership including Founder & CEO. Establish best-in-class annual planning and financial strategy to ensure alignment across all functions
  • Support the broader business goals. Leverage data and analytics to inform Sales, Operations, and Marketing strategies that enable continued high growth and increasing profitability
  • Lead business planning and budget development
  • Lead, develop and recruit high-caliber talent
  • Rally teams around the company's vision and direction by increasing the entire team's awareness and comprehension of the financial strategy, plan, and P&L
  • Explore and drive various investment strategies, banking relationships, and evaluation of term sheets (equity and debt)
