Quotations Specialist

The Quotations Specialist will work closely with the outside sales team. The Quotation Specialist prepares accurate quotes for pricing and builds estimates for special items by gathering information and analyzing material and job costing. Possesses strong numerical skills and has an analytical mindset.

Primary responsibilities:

• Generates customer quotes and proposals based on customer’s requests via phone or email.

• Assists customers with providing product knowledge to determine correct products for customers’ applications and projects

• Consistently demonstrates superior customer service by combining system knowledge, sales, product, and problem-solving skills to exceed customer expectations

• Builds estimate, and prices standard and special jobs at a level that keeps our products competitive and maximizes profit

• Works together with multiple departments (i.e., SCM, Repair & Service, Manufacturing & Production, Logistics) as needed to ensure accurate quotes and lead times

• Follows up on quotations and modifies quotes as necessary

• Follows up on quotes and proposals, negotiates as needed and closes transactions

• Coordinates shipping, material information requirements for products and any other incidental involved in getting the right product to the customer at the right time

• Enters orders in company’s ERP system based on established rules and practices

• Maintains strong working business relationships with established and new customers

• Works closely with Outside Sales Team and provides feedback and communication regarding accounts.

• Other duties may be assigned

Skills/Qualifications:

• At least one year of business-to-business industrial sales experience.

• Ability to multitask to meet deadlines

• Must feel comfortable working in a dynamic, team-based environment where priorities are continually changing.

• Able to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision within specified time frames

• Able to identify problems and offer alternative solutions and/or courses of action based on available resources

• Ability to communicate effectively with internal partners and external customers through multiple means such as email and telephone

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Experience and skill using Infor SXe software system is a definite plus

• A strong sense of urgency and commitment to effectively and timely service our customers
