Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required; an associate degree is a plus.
  • Three to five years of prior experience in a technician role in quality, manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, testing, continuous improvement, or another related discipline is required.
  • A basic understanding of ISO standards is required.
  • Familiarity with mathematical concepts such as geometry, trigonometry, ratios, fractions, and proportions is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, is required.
  • The ability to work independently with written and verbal communication across a broad range of functional groups is required.
  • Experience in process-driven environments is required.
  • The employee must be able to frequently stand and sit, frequently use hand and finger dexterity, continually talk or hear, walk up to five miles per day, and climb multiple flights of stairs.
  • The employee must occasionally climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl; work near moving mechanical parts; and work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals.
  • The employee must occasionally lift or move more than 30 pounds.
  • The employee must be able to wear personal protective equipment, including protective eyewear, hard hat, lab coat, gloves, steel-toed shoes, and hearing protection.
  • The employee must be able to safely access and traverse indoor and outdoor obstacles for site inspections, including ladders, stairs, catwalks, and uneven surfaces.
Responsibilities
  • Perform dimensional, visual, electrical, and mechanical inspections using standard documentation and procedures.
  • Support the reduction of defective parts, process errors and inefficiencies, and warranty costs.
  • Coordinate and report defects, including maintaining the quality database and virtual job folders.
  • Implement incoming inspection plans for internal and external local sources, perform incoming inspections, and submit nonconformance reports when quality issues arise.
  • Implement in-process quality control by auditing the service process and submitting nonconformance reports for issues.
  • Support the Quality System Engineer with calibration, especially torque-wrench calibration.
  • Interact with engineers, project managers, production workers, and stock personnel.
  • Identify, document, and process conforming and non-conforming material.
  • Perform electrical and/or mechanical inspections of incoming or outgoing materials with minimal supervision, determining conformance to applicable specifications and designated procedures.
  • Troubleshoot semiconductor-industry testing-activity discrepancies.
  • Manage manufacturing test data associated with customer acceptance testing when applicable.
  • Interface with production and engineering personnel concerning inspection results.
