The inpatient oncology unit joins CentraState's critical care and step-down units, which were awarded the Silver-level Beacon Award in 2024. Additionally, CentraState's observation unit received AACN Beacon Recognition for Excellence - Nursing Workforce and Work Environment Modules, the highest accolade for which the unit is eligible. The Beacon Award for Excellence - a significant milestone on the path to exceptional patient care and healthy work environments - recognizes unit caregivers who successfully improve unit outcomes and align practices with AACN's six Healthy Work Environment Standards. Atlantic Health System and CentraState Healthcare System recently opened the Atlantic Health System Manalapan Pavilion in the Manalapan Commons shopping center on Route 9 in Manalapan, extending the addition of pavilions in the central Jersey region.More and more health systems are expanding their operations outside of traditional care settings by repurposing retail spaces in malls, looking to provide patients with more convenient and accessible care.The 18,000-square-foot pavilion provides primary and multispecialty care connected to the medical center. Aiming to advance cancer care in the region, CentraState Medical Center, part of the Atlantic Health System, recently completed construction of inpatient and outpatient units of the Statesir Cancer Center at CentraState in Freehold.Timely upgrades include a new state-of-the-art patient care unit for oncology and medical surgical patients, a new medical oncology office for Atlantic Medical Group Oncology and a renovated infusion suite — further expanding patient access to cancer services and specialists.“We are proud to deliver a triad of patient-centered enhancements that will also help drive the continued growth of the Statesir Cancer Center,” said Thomas W.
