Roles and Responsibilities:
Act as the supervisor for the Project Management team in charge of Instrumentation and Controls scopes of work on a multi-billion new build project of semiconductor manufacturing facility. Manage the construction scope of direct contractors, vendors, and partners to build and handover a functioning facility that meets the needs of operations teams within the project parameters set by HQ. Manage a team of field construction engineers and/or project managers responsible for monitoring ongoing on-site construction activities. Interface between construction general contractor, subcontractor, design team and various owner organizations. Schedule coordination to ensure full site coverage for ongoing construction work monitoring. Utilize solid leadership skills to align stakeholders, including but not limited to owner representatives, Environmental Health & Safety departments, internal departments, Authorities Having Jurisdiction, contractors, and vendors across the site to meet aggressive goals and timelines for project work. Identify means and methods to reduce safety risk exposure and optimize contractor work efficiency. Define department goals and track progress through key performance indicators. Present and report project and team status to department and executive management when requested. Generate a weekly report that highlights the team’s key accomplishments and roadblocks. Respond to and review countermeasures for safety and tab impacting incidents as they occur. Facilitate efficient RFI and submittal reviews for l&C scopes of work. Facilitate team documentation and development of standard operating procedures. Facilitate the approval and handover of scopes to operation teams as construction is completed including documentation needs such as warranties, as-builts, and O&Ms. facilitate and empower team to identify, manage, and report on punch list items until complete. Ensure field compliance to the site facilities construction specification. Perform regular site field observations to verify that installation of scope meet safety and code standards. Document project lessons learned and incorporate them into future project planning and execution. Create unit tracking tool and metrics for real time progress updates on scopes of work that will be shared with outside departments on weekly basis. Verify invoices and change orders received from contractors regarding field work. Collaborate with Project Controls team for schedule updates and awareness, three week look-ahead and critical paths. Manage a team of direct reports and tier 1 contractors for the Life Safety, Network, and Instrumentation & Controls scope of work on multi-billion dollar new construction build of a semiconductor manufacturing facility. Take milestones and Key Performance Indicators from management and delegate actionable tasks to direct reports that support achieving them. Provide mentoring and performance management to direct reports. Hold monthly 1 :1 s and provide mid-year and end-of-year performance feedback and ratings. Manage team’s time in payroll system - approve PTO and leave, adjust timecards as necessary. Prepare team weekly report and distribute to key stakeholders. Hold team meetings with direct reports and tier 1 contractors for alignment. attend leadership meetings, complete SAS leadership classes per talent development department curriculum, and perform regular check-ins with Infra Operations leadership for schedule and handover alignment. Master’s degree in Materials Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field and 36 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
Requires 36 months of experience involving the following:
1. Reviewing equipment designs;
2. Project management;
3. Reviewing process and instrumentation diagrams;
4. Chemical engineering; and
5. Process Automation
