Requirements
  • At least three years of compliance experience is required. Candidates without a bachelor's degree should have at least six years of industry experience in a compliance role
  • Compliance Managers need a solid background in statistical, analytical, communication, writing, project management, and organizational skills
  • Candidates should possess the ability to collaborate and build partnerships with colleagues throughout the organization
  • A professional certification in the field of auditing or compliance (IAPP, HCCA, SCCE or similar) is required for all candidates without an advanced degree (JD, MBA etc.). An industry-specific certification in healthcare is preferred

Responsibilities
  • Applying and interpreting audit and compliance requirements on behalf of the organization
  • Designing and coordinating the preparation and ongoing review of policies, procedures, training materials and other communication tools to ensure the organization meets compliance requirements
  • Coordinating external audits (including HITRUST, SOC2 Type II, SOC 1, PCI, and more) and interacting with external auditors
  • Creating and reviewing compliance documentation
  • Reviewing and assessing specific potential compliance issues and interacting with internal and external stakeholders to resolve them
  • Implementing risk-based compliance testing of controls to identify, correct, and detect noncompliance
  • Coordinating rollout and training of new or updated policies and directives when required
