Requirements
  • An Associate Degree is required.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills are required.
  • Candidates must submit a cover letter and resume.

  • Successful completion of required employment background checks is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level administrative support to the Chancellor and manage the daily activities and operations of the Chancellor’s office.
  • Assist the Chancellor in coordinating and completing projects and reports.
  • Manage the Chancellor’s calendar and prioritize activities and operations.
  • Plan, coordinate, oversee, and host meetings and events for the Chancellor, including Advisory Board and Executive Committee meetings, campus visits, faculty senate visits, and searches.
  • Coordinate Chancellor Chats, Town Hall, and All Campus Day meetings.
  • Serve as liaison for the Chancellor to the Vice President of the Commonwealth Campuses Office, Campus Faculty Senate, and Campus Staff Advisory Council.
  • Prepare emails and campus communications on behalf of the Chancellor.
  • Provide administrative support for Chancellor’s Council and act as liaison between campus leadership and the Chancellor.
  • Field requests and resolve issues that do not require the Chancellor’s attention.
  • Oversee and monitor confidential administrative information, personnel issues, salary and budget information, and approve expenditures as budget administrator.
  • Represent the Chancellor’s office in Commencement Planning, including selection of the commencement speaker and student marshal.
  • Supervise 1-2 student interns.
  • Support campus recruitment searches.
  • Handle the Chancellor’s travel arrangements and travel reimbursements in CONCUR.
  • Manage direct relationships with advisory board members and the eight external boards on which the Chancellor serves.
  • Draft agendas, prepare biographies, create bullet points and PowerPoint presentations, and write reminders for the Chancellor’s meetings.
  • Analyze information for special projects and reports, and draft speeches, handbooks, newsletters, articles, and conference materials.
  • Lead coordination of seminars, workshops, and banquets, including travel, lodging, and meals.
  • Work closely with the Faculty Affairs Coordinator to ensure academic deadlines are met.
