Requirements
  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar restaurant management role (team size and revenue) in a busy, bustling environment (£6.5m+ revenue per year business)
  • A track record of leading large teams in restaurants; you’re a natural at inspiring trust, keeping morale high and bringing others along on a journey.
  • Previous involvement in budgeting and forecasting, a strong understanding of the financial expectations of a successful restaurant and bar business
  • An ability to manage the budget on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. You will be expected to report results with a granular understanding of the ongoing trends of the business to the Director of Food & Beverage and wider-management teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, juggling many things at once, but always dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage a busy and bustling large Restaurant, holding 3 services per day; breakfast, lunch & dinner.
  • Lead, develop and inspire a large and dynamic Restaurant team, including an Assistant General Manager, Floor Managers, Hosts and Waiters.
  • Both guest and team experience will be at the heart of all you do. You’ll lead your team by example, keeping them involved and motivated; helping them feel empowered and supported, confident in providing top Hox experiences for our guests and comfortable turning to you with questions
  • Have a firm grip on the P&L and take ownership over the costs of the restaurant business, always striving to find efficient solutions whilst keeping the quality high and the experience top notch.
  • Drive, monitor, and analyse sales performance, profitability, manage all restaurant costs to deliver sales and profit expectations against budgets.
  • Ensure all operating standards are adhered to within the restaurants, achieving required hygiene, health and safety measurements (e.g. EHO and internal audit scores).
  • Manage and support the personal development of team members to support progression and succession planning.
  • Drive revenue through planning and creating initiatives and incentives, alongside a strong understanding of the guest booking and profiling system.
  • Working closely with the Head Chef and Head of Bars so that all front of house and back of house teams are working smoothly, hand-in-hand.
Desired Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
  • Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
  • Experience with related software such as AutoCAD, Mathcad, and commercially available structural analysis software (STADD Pro, SAP2000, Ansys, etc.).
