Position: Program Aide                                                                                                            

Department: York, PA                       

Availability of Position: Immediate     

Schedule: 25 hours a week; M- F, 3pm - 8pm             

Reporting Relationship: Supervisor - Learning Center Director

Salary and Salary Grade: $13.00 per hour; 71

Responsibilities

Position Overview: This position involves direct assistance with learning programs and homework for York City students.

Description of Position:         

• Assist students with nightly homework.
• Assist students with learning programs, this includes accurate attendance and student assessments (student behaviors and ability to complete assigned tasks) and program assessment.
• Provide additional study aids and tools for students who appear to be struggling with assignments.
• Communicate regularly with the Learning Center Director.
• Follow and enforce discipline policy of the Learning Center.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Attend all training and staff meetings.
• Other job related duties as assigned

• Child Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks:   PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check.
• Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
