Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with international regulations, certifications, and standards related to timber sourcing, including but not limited to FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification).
  • Oversee the entire timber supply chain process, from sourcing raw materials to production and distribution, ensuring transparency and accountability at each stage.
  • Identify potential risks within the timber supply chain, such as illegal logging or unethical practices, and implement measures to mitigate these risks effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, industry associations, and regulatory bodies to promote responsible timber sourcing practices and foster transparency within the supply chain.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of timber suppliers and manufacturing facilities to verify compliance with chain of custody requirements and sustainability standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, transparency, and sustainability of timber supply chain operations.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal teams and external partners on timber chain of custody protocols, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations on timber chain of custody performance, communicating key findings, challenges, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
