Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Make the Mumm and Perrier-Jouët houses into leading wine-tourism destinations for the general public.
  • Coordinate the visitor experience across catering, tours, and the boutique at both sites throughout the year.
  • Supervise restaurant operations and food-and-beverage teams, and manage boutique and tour activities.
  • Define visitor experiences that best express the brands' positioning.
  • Determine the most appropriate customer journey to deliver brand messages.
  • Develop tools to promote the tour circuit, boutique, and restaurant.
  • Promote tourism activities to organizations and partners through trade shows, direct meetings, and local advertising.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to develop tourism activities.
  • Manage the back office of digital tour platforms, including time slots, offers, and information.
  • Identify and qualify profitability opportunities across all sites and both brands.
  • Propose and supervise pricing policies for tourism products, boutique products, and restaurant menus according to the defined strategy.
  • Optimize site revenue and visitor traffic according to established objectives.
  • Ensure cash monitoring and bank deposits for tourism and restaurant activities.
  • Develop customer relationship management offers and coordinate their follow-up.
  • Provide regular quantified reporting on results and statistics and write associated conclusions for the different activities.
  • Ensure monitoring of allocated budgets.
  • Manage inventory and cash flow for the boutique, ticketing, and other revenue-generating activities.
  • Recruit and organize the recruitment of seasonal guides and experts.
  • Unite the teams around a shared vision of excellence.
  • Support and monitor permanent and seasonal teams.
  • Ensure high-quality relationships with internal and external partners.

Pernod Ricard loses New Delhi licence appeal amid India collusion probe

A court in New Delhi has rejected Pernod Ricard's appeal to resume selling spirits in the Indian capital, according to Reuters. The judge cited an ongoing competition probe as grounds for denying the licence, declaring Pernod "ineligible" whilst under investigation. India's Competition Commission is examining allegations that Pernod illegally colluded with retailers to boost sales in New Delhi, claims the company "unequivocally denies". The French spirits giant insists its business practices fully adhere to Indian laws and regulations. India represents a significant market for Pernod, accounting for 13% of its €10.96 billion net sales in the 2024/2025 financial year. The company declined to comment on the reported ruling.

Brown-Forman and Pernod Ricard call off merger talks

Brown-Forman and Pernod Ricard have terminated merger discussions, both companies announced on 28 April. The potential deal would have united the Louisville-based maker of Jack Daniel's and Woodford Reserve with France's second-largest spirits producer, which owns Absolut Vodka and Jameson Irish Whiskey. The companies were "unable to reach mutually acceptable terms" since confirming talks on 26 March. Brown-Forman said it will focus on expanding its geographic footprint and operational efficiency instead. The spirits industry has faced multi-year sales declines due to reduced consumer spending and health consciousness. Brown-Forman reported an 8% US sales decline and nearly 60% drop in Canada in March. Separately, Sazerac reportedly made a $15 billion bid for Brown-Forman in mid-April, though neither company has commented publicly.
