Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience with one or more modern languages, such as Python, Java, etc.
  • 1+ years of experience with common ML libraries (i.e. Scikit-learn, XGBoost, NumPy, Keras, PyTorch, etc.) and ML algorithms (i.e. clustering, decision trees, boosting, etc.)
  • 1+ years of experience with developing Analytical pipelines (using languages such as SQL and PySpark) against Cloud Data Warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake or Redshift
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement machine learning models using appropriate algorithms and techniques. This includes model selection, training, tuning, and evaluation.
  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable and high-performance data pipelines using GCP services (e.g., Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Storage)
  • Use software development best practices like code review, continuous integration, and continuous delivery (CI/CD), release management, and version control.
  • Develop and maintain data quality checks and monitoring systems to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to optimize data for model training and inference.
  • Build and maintain data infrastructure for AI/ML workloads, including feature stores, model registries, and experiment tracking systems.
  • Automate data pipelines and infrastructure using tools like Apache Airflow or similar orchestration platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in data engineering, cloud computing, and AI/ML technologies.
  • Work to enhance existing test automation processes, improving efficiency, and reducing manual intervention across environments.
  • Partner with teams and serve as cross-functional expert to provide bench-marked solutions to multiple, complex technical projects/initiatives using multiple interlocking technologies.
  • Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure data accuracy and reliability for model training and prediction.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with complex systems and solving challenging analytical problems
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with ML operationalization and data and model lifecycle management
  • Experience deploying and monitoring analytical assets in batch/real-time business processes
  • Experience in cloud environments (GCP preferred): bucket storage, BigQuery, Kubeflow, DataProc, VertexAI, DataFusion
  • Understanding of DevOps principles and tools (such as GitHub, Jenkins, Circle CI, Argo CD, Artifact Registry, Nexus)
  • Experience in developing distributed data processing pipelines using libraries like Apache Spark or Beam.
  • Understanding of dependency management and containerization of applications supporting analytical workloads (i.e. Dockers, GKE)
  • Exposure to developing RESTFUL APIs against enterprise data assets and features to support real time operational ML pipelines. Experience with FastAPI or Flask is preferred.
  • Experience in data visualization tools and libraries
  • Formal SAFe and/or agile experience. Previous healthcare experience and domain knowledge

CVS opens first pharmacy-only location in Chicago, plans nearly 20 this year

CVS Health has opened its first pharmacy-only location in Chicago, part of plans to launch nearly 20 such sites across the US this year. The 3,000-square-foot store at 2628 West Pershing Road features a full-service pharmacy with selected over-the-counter products. The pharmacy-only format is designed to increase access to medications, immunizations and pharmacist consultations in underserved communities. Additional locations are planned for Houston, Roxbury, Detroit and Brooklyn in 2026, alongside more than 40 traditional CVS Pharmacy stores. The move responds to consumer preferences, with CVS's 2025 research showing 80% of patients prefer face-to-face pharmacy care and 48% would switch pharmacies if limited to digital-only options. The company opened its first pharmacy-only site in Birmingham, Alabama, late last year.
