Requirements
  • Familiarity with Canadian benefits plans and underwriting practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook; advanced Excel skills are an asset.
  • Experience using broker management systems (e.g., Epic) is a strong advantage.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling and reporting.
Responsibilities
  • Act as a primary point of contact for advisors and service teams to coordinate SMB client requests.
  • Manage a centralized inbox, triaging requests for quotes and proposals to ensure timely responses and accurate deliverables.
  • Prepare and deliver client-ready new business proposals for SMB clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client requirements.
  • Handle requests for quotes by collecting necessary data, submitting it to underwriters, and providing detailed summaries and recommendations to advisors.
  • Support regional teams in implementing new SMB benefits solutions for clients, ensuring a seamless onboarding process.
  • Coordinate with carriers, TPAs, and regional teams to ensure all implementation requirements are met within timelines.
  • Prepare and deliver renewal documents, including conducting preliminary analyses of carrier renewal reports.
  • Assist regional teams in reviewing claims history and recommending plan design adjustments for SMB clients.
  • Collaborate with the national SMB team to transition existing HUB clients into SMB-specific solutions.
  • Coordinate with regional teams and TPAs to streamline the transition process for both clients and advisors.
  • Use technology platforms to simplify quoting, proposals, and renewal processes for advisors.
  • Identify opportunities for automation to improve workflows and enhance efficiency.
