Requirements
  • M.S. in physics, medical physics or related field and at least three years of clinical radiation oncology physics working experience required for the staff medical physicist, or a Ph.D. in basic physics or medical physics.
  • If the candidate holds a Ph.D. in basic physics or related field then the candidate should have either completed a postdoctoral fellowship/traineeship in medical physics or graduated from an accredited program conferring a M.S. in medical physics.
  • New York State Medical Physics License or Limited Permit from the Department of Education.
  • If hired with a Limited Permit, License must be obtained within two years of hire.
