  • Associates Degree in Health Information Management, computer science, healthcare administration required.
  • Two (2) years in Healthcare required, with technical experience and/or HIM experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, computer science, healthcare administration preferred.
  • Certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Health Information Technologist (RHIT) preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Conceptualizes, designs, implements, supports and maintains assigned applications.
  • Serves as a thought leader for assigned applications, OnBase, Solarity, and Epic Ambulatory for the Medical Group and Ambulatory Clinics.
  • Implements, maintains and supports assigned applications, to meet the business needs of the Enterprise.
  • Drive identification of requirements for OnBase and Solarity Document Management Workflows.
  • Identify substandard processes through data analysis and present innovative solutions.
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports.
  • Analyzes and documents user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems.
  • Reviews system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.
  • Documents workflows, configure and/or build activities, change management adherence, end user notifications, training information and status reporting in the appropriate system.
  • Develops, documents and revises system design procedures, test procedures, regulatory and quality standards.
  • Recommends workflow and application changes for improved quality, safety or efficiency and works through the necessary governance structure for approvals.
  • Develops and monitors controls to ensure appropriate availability and data integrity within applications assigned.
  • Performs and audits user provisioning for assigned applications for improved quality, safety or efficiency and works through the necessary governance structure for approvals.
  • Collaborates and monitors processes and works with vendor to ensure optimal quality and system performance.
