Responsibilities
  • Lead the consolidation and transformation of Machine Shops and Spare Parts operations into a high-capability organization.
  • Champion and implement TPM principles across both the Machine Shops, Die Shops, and Spare Parts Departments to improve asset effectiveness, reduce downtime, and extend asset life.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to sustain technical capabilities within the Machine Shop, Die Maintenance, and Spare Parts teams.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying systemic issues and leading cross-functional kaizen initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance functions, production, and engineering teams to align Shop and Spare Part strategies with business goals.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs related to DT Reduction, In House Part Making, Turnaround Time, First Pass Yield, Cost Competitiveness, Spare Parts Availability and others to guide decision-making and investment.
  • Optimize spare parts inventory management to ensure availability while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
  • Lead human resource development through coaching, mentoring, and structured training programs to build a high-performing, multi-skilled workforce.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and proactively address risks through layered audits and preventive actions.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to transform the shops into a profit center by strategically expanding revenue opportunities and optimizing cost performance.
  • Manage departmental budgets, capital projects, and cost-reduction initiatives with a focus on long-term value creation.
  • Provide leadership coverage and support across all shifts in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
  • 8+ years of leadership experience in Maintenance, Machining, or Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience managing Spare Parts operations
  • Skilled in blueprint reading, GD&T interpretation, tooling selection and job setup coordination
  • Demonstrated success in leading multiple projects across departments
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CMMS systems
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver measurable improvements

DENSO to showcase keyless access solutions for fleet operators at NAFA 2026

DENSO will exhibit its keyless access solutions at the NAFA 2026 Institute & Expo from 13-15 April at Cleveland's Huntington Convention Center. The mobility supplier will demonstrate its MobiQ smart mobility brand technology in booth #271. The keyless access system is designed for government and large enterprise fleet operators seeking to improve asset utilisation and operational efficiency. The solution is compatible with BLE, NFC and RFID-badge operating systems and integrates into connected mobility platforms to provide enhanced telematics data. DENSO says the technology addresses common fleet challenges including lost keys, vehicle assignment, compliance and scheduling. The company, which employs over 23,000 people across North America, generated $12.5 billion in consolidated regional sales in the fiscal year ending March 2025.

Denso acquires FoodVentures to expand global agricultural one-stop solution

DENSO Corporation has acquired a partial equity stake in FoodVentures, making the Dutch company a consolidated subsidiary. The partnership aims to globally deploy an integrated agricultural production solution for greenhouse horticulture. FoodVentures brings over 10 years of expertise providing end-to-end support for greenhouse operations, from business planning to cultivation and sales. The company has supported operators across multiple countries and climates. DENSO, which incorporated agriculture into its articles of incorporation in 2022, has been building agricultural capabilities through strategic partnerships. The company previously acquired greenhouse provider Certhon in 2023 and tomato seed developer Axia in 2025. Nextcore Technologies, a Kyoto-based startup developing high-efficiency motors for decarbonisation, has raised JPY 2.073 billion (approximately $13.8 million) in Series A funding and debt financing. Denso led the equity round, with debt financing provided by Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation. Founded in 2022, Nextcore manufactures iron-based amorphous alloy motor cores that reduce power consumption by up to 40% compared with conventional motors.
