Requirements
  • Education & Years of Experience – Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 8+ years of equipment design experience.
  • Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.
  • Clearance – To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
Responsibilities
  • Work with an engineering team to support the preparation/review of structural design efforts.
  • Provide support for line calcs and thickness calcs.
  • Remain aware of, and adhere to, Structural/Nuclear Codes including: IBC, ACI 318 & 349, ASCE 4, 7 & 43, AISC 360/N690.
  • Perform post-installed concrete anchorage evaluations.
  • Design welded and bolted steel connection.
  • Utilize structural finite element analysis software (RISA, SAP, GT Strudl, or STAAD).
  • Perform modal response spectrum and equivalent static analysis.
  • Work with MathCAD, GT Strudl, and Abaqus CAE (Abaqus GUI pre-processor for building models).
  • Provide stainless steel provisions – ASCE 8.
  • Perform some scripting in Python.
