Long Bar + Kitchen Server Assistant

Job Description

ESSENTIAL

➢ Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.

➢ Maintain proper rotation of products in chillers.

➢ Must have a very flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and AM & PM shifts.

➢ Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.

➢ Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Fairmont Standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.

➢ Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag while working.

➢ Comply at all times with Fairmont standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.

➢ Set up all tables in the dining room for appropriate shift.

➢ Prepare iced tea, coffee, espresso, juice, hot chocolate.

➢ Stock necessary equipment, including linen, china, glasses, cutlery, and supplies to maintain proper meal period table settings.

➢ Maintain proper settings on tables during course of shift.

➢ Clear tables quickly and efficiently upon completion of courses.

➢ Complete cleaning duties utilizing corporate SOP checklist. (dusting, sweeping, wiping, polishing, etc.) MARGINAL

➢ Prepare lemon by cutting in wedges.

➢ Serve guests in waiter’s absence.

➢ Maintain beverage levels in glasses on tables. (coffee, tea, water, juice)

➢ Other duties as required.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

➢ High school diploma or related experience preferred.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT

➢ Coffee and espresso machines

➢ Juice machine

➢ Cleaning chemicals, broom, hot plates.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

➢ Long hours sometimes may be required.

➢ Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

➢ Must be able to stand and walk throughout the entire shift.

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

➢ Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.

➢ Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.

➢ Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.

➢ Must be able to maintain a level or organization and cleanliness.

Additional Information

The hourly pay rate is USD $24.25
