Security Support Specialist

Abacus Technology is seeking a Security Support Specialist to assist on all corporate security matters.  This position will provide administrative support FSO and to multiple Federal contracts by ensuring that the Industrial Security Program complies with DoD National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).  This is a full-time position.

• Provide administrative support via the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS). 
• Initiate and review Electronic Questionnaires for Investigation Processing (e-QIP). 
• Prepare access control rosters for government contracts on an as needed basis.
• Document and transmit visitor access requests to government and contractor facilities.
• Prepare and execute DD Form 254 and SF 312.
• Assist in updating NISPOM security requirements and monitor documents distributed throughout the contract(s) period.
• Monitor access to storage sites and provide security guidance.
• Provide records management.
• Perform backup courier duties in support of DoD Communications sites.

2 to 5 years experience in the security environment.Bachelor’s degree is preferred.  Must be FSO certified or able to complete courses for FSO certification within one year of hire.  Thorough knowledge of NISPOM.  Solid experience with JPAS and e-QIP as well as SF 85 and SF 86 forms.  Communication, organization skills, and attention to detail are essential.  Must be a US citizen.
