- Mandatory experience with computer-assisted translation tools such as XTM, Trados, MemoQ, Phrase, or equivalent tools.
- Experience with quality-assurance checks using Xbench, Verifika, or CAT-integrated QA.
- Experience using the Track Changes function in Microsoft Word.
- At least 6 months of experience as a Language QA Specialist in localization.
- Advanced English proficiency at a minimum C1 level.
- Availability for 4–5 hours per day, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Ability to meet urgent 12–24-hour turnaround times and manage many small files.
- Willingness to complete the quality-control test and follow staged onboarding.
- Perform quality control of English translations for pharmacovigilance, regulatory, and clinical content.
- Use CAT tools and run quality-control checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Validate formatting, numbers, dates, units, terminology, and adherence to instructions.
- Process non-editable or handwritten source files and perform formatting quality control after conversion.
- Self-assign work according to availability through Open Offers and meet urgent turnaround times, typically 12–24 hours.
- Handle high-volume work split across multiple small files and document and report discrepancies.
- Collaborate with project managers and promptly escalate risks.
- Experience with clinical or regulatory documents, including medical reports, protocols, synopses, informed consent forms, discharge and study reports, SmPC, PIL, medical literature, or linguistic validation.
- Experience with pharmacovigilance documents, including SAE/AE, PSURs, SUSARs, ICSRs, DSUR, or RMP.
- Prior experience in a similar quality-control role at a language service provider.
- Flexibility and willingness to work occasional weekends and bank holidays.
