Requirements
  • At least 8 years of experience in systems engineering of complex electromechanical or mechatronic products, including embedded and host software.
  • Direct hands-on experience taking a hardware and software product from MVP or prototype through a manufacturable, production-qualified release.
  • Ability to read CAD drawings, electrical schematics, firmware and sensor specifications, and software architecture or application programming interface designs sufficiently to identify interface conflicts.
  • Working proficiency with mechanical computer-aided design tools such as Onshape or equivalent.
  • Working proficiency with circuit design and schematic-capture tools such as Altium or equivalent.
  • Coding ability in Python or C++ sufficient to script analysis, build small verification and test tools, or prototype an interface.
  • Judgment to apply and validate artificial-intelligence-enabled tools for analysis, documentation, prototyping, and verification.
  • Working knowledge of design failure mode and effects analysis, design verification plan and report, root-cause analysis, and structured verification and validation planning across hardware and software.
  • Track record of earning trust and technical authority across engineering teams without formal reporting lines.
Responsibilities
  • Write and maintain System Requirements Specifications and Interface Control Documents across mechanical, electrical, firmware, software, and sensor subsystems.
  • Drive cross-disciplinary architecture trade studies involving packaging, thermal, mechanical, and electrical budget allocation, and hardware-versus-software decisions.
  • Define and maintain interfaces between sensor and electrical hardware and the software stack, including calibration, signal processing, drivers or software development kits, and data formats.
  • Own the verification and validation plan and failure mode and effects analysis process across the product lifecycle, including engineering validation, design validation, and production validation, and translate failure risk into design and test requirements.
  • Identify manufacturability, yield, and process risks before production scale-up and partner with process, fabrication, and contract manufacturing partners.
  • Define and negotiate system-level hardware and software or application programming interface interfaces with external collaborators and customers.
  • Establish systems-engineering tooling and documentation standards, including requirements traceability and review gates.
  • Own the system-level project by translating product intent into verifiable requirements, resolving cross-domain trade-offs, and driving the design from MVP through pre-production toward volume manufacturing.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least 12 years of systems-engineering experience is preferred.
  • Experience with robotics, sensors, tactile sensing, or dexterous manipulation is preferred.
  • Broader electromechanical and embedded-software product experience in automotive, medical devices, or consumer electronics is welcome.
  • Experience building artificial-intelligence or machine-learning systems is not required but would be relevant background.

Bernstein upgrades Analog Devices to Outperform as Q3 beat drives growth outlook

Analog Devices posts record $4B Q3 revenue, eyes data-centre growth through 2030
