Requirements
  • Five+ years' experience as a programmer using CAM software such as MasterCAM, HyperMILL, NX, Esprit, including some amount of five-axis simultaneous machining
  • Five+ years' experience as a machine setup/operator
  • Experience programming and operating five-axis gantry machines
  • Must be able to read and interpret manufacturing drawings with a strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Experience doing post- and in-process inspection using common measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, scales, etc.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
Responsibilities
  • Program CNC machines including 3 and 5 axis mills (currently Zimmerman and HAAS machines)
  • Program, set-up, and operate LFAM 3D Printers, as well as smaller resin and filament fed 3D printers
  • Inspect parts and provide tolerance reports for printed and machined molds and tooling as well as finished composite parts
  • Provide DFM feedback to engineers to improve our processes, and opportunities for cost down efforts
Desired Qualifications
  • Have experience in CAM softwares such as Tebis, Esprit, Hypermill, or similar
  • Have experience in tooling / mold making in aerospace and/or motorsport
  • Have experience with CMM and surface scanning inspection equipment
  • Have experience in a mix of R&D / development as well as production environments
  • Have experience programming and running 3D printers either small or ideally large format
  • Have experience with CAD software like Siemens NX, Solidworks, or Catia
  • Have the flexibility to work extended hours/weekends when required to meet customer timelines
