Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or at least one year of verifiable Medical Assistant experience is required.
  • An active Certified Medical Assistant certification or equivalent national Medical Assistant certification from AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, or another recognized body is required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (CPR) certification is required.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures and surgeries, and ambulatory or surgical practice workflows is required.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team-based, fast-paced environment is required.
Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and providers during examinations and surgical procedures.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
  • Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and clinical data.
  • Administer routine treatments and approved medications under provider direction.
  • Enter medication, laboratory, and diagnostic orders into the electronic medical record.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinical policies.
  • Coordinate scheduling for specialty testing and consultations.
  • Communicate professionally with patients, families, and practice staff.
  • Adhere to infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support front-office functions as needed, including scheduling, patient flow, and discharge.
Desired Qualifications
  • One to three years of Medical Assistant experience is preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are preferred.
