About the company

CrowdStrike builds cybersecurity software for organizations that need to protect computers, cloud workloads, identities and data from digital attacks. Its Falcon platform combines these defenses in one cloud system, using a lightweight sensor on devices to collect activity and detect suspicious behavior. Security teams investigate alerts and automate responses through a shared console, while the platform connects information from different parts of a business to reveal attacks that isolated tools miss. Customers pay subscription fees based on the products and assets covered, and CrowdStrike also charges for incident response services. CrowdStrike was founded in 2011 and is based in Austin, Texas.

CrowdStrike stock nearly doubled in a year as AI pitch met faster growth, but acceleration is stalling

CrowdStrike (CRWD) shares nearly doubled in a year. A $10,000 stake bought on October 13, 2025 was worth about $19,600 on October 14, 2026, while the S&P 500 returned 17.3%. The company pitched itself as the platform for securing AI while its sales growth slowed to 19.8% in the quarter ended April 2025. Growth then picked up, reaching 21.3% in the quarter ended July 2025 and 25.8% in the quarter ended July 2026. The share price rose faster than the business. Investors paid 50.0 times revenue at the end of September 2026, against 28.2 times a year earlier. Rivals did well too: Fortinet returned 118.6% and Palo Alto Networks 75.8%. The next report, expected around November 30, 2026, will show whether growth is still building.

Windhoek summit to tackle the cyber gaps AI is exposing.

Windhoek summit to tackle the cyber gaps AI is exposing. Namibian business and technology leaders will come together in Windhoek on 13 October for the 2026 Namibian Cyber Security Summit, hosted by The Cloud Crew and DigitalShield, as organisations face growing pressure to understand where their existing cyber defences may still leave them exposed. The summit, themed 'Mind the Gaps, AI, Governance and Cyber Defense', takes place at The Weinberg Hotel from 08:00 to 15:00 and will bring together IT, security, governance, risk, and business leaders for a practical examination of the gaps that can develop across technology, people, and processes. Figures from the Namibia Cyber Security Incident Response Team show that 161,547 cyber events were recorded between April and June 2026, up 56.7% from the previous quarter, while more than 513,000 cyber vulnerabilities were detected during the same period. A clearer view of the gaps Most organisations know which security tools they have in place. However, it is more difficult to understand the gaps that sit between these solutions, who takes ownership when something falls outside a tool's remit, and whether the overall environment is as well covered as everyone assumes. The summit will use the Cyber Defense Matrix as a practical way to examine that problem. The framework maps core cyber security functions to the assets organisations need to protect, helping security teams understand where existing capabilities are concentrated and where gaps may exist. It also recognises that technology alone cannot carry the entire security programme, particularly as detection, response, and recovery increasingly depend on people and processes. AI changes the security map AI adds another layer to an already complex environment. Employees may be using AI tools before formal governance catches up, while security teams are also beginning to use AI to identify risk and accelerate analysis. "AI is being adopted faster than many organisations can update their policies, controls, and ways of working," says Aidan Snyders, Business development Manager of The Cloud Crew. "The risk is that new capability gets introduced in pockets across the business without anyone having a complete view of what it can access or how it should be governed. The summit is designed to help leaders get that visibility and make practical decisions about where they need to tighten control." The programme will look at how vulnerability management connects with governance, how organisations can establish where AI is already being used, and what human behaviour still means for cyber risk. It will also examine agentic defence and the growing role of machines in triaging security activity before a human analyst becomes involved. The Cloud Crew and DigitalShield will be joined by alliance partners Netskope, Mimecast, and CrowdStrike, bringing different perspectives on how organisations can strengthen cyber resilience without losing sight of the operational realities behind the technology. Registration is open The summit is aimed at leaders responsible for technology, cybersecurity, governance, risk, and business operations who want a clearer view of where existing controls may need attention as AI becomes more deeply embedded in the organisation. Registration and networking begin at 08:00, with formal sessions running through the morning before lunch and networking from 12:00. Attendees will also be entered into a lucky draw to win an iPad. 'Mind the Gaps, AI, Governance, and Cyber Defense' takes place at The Weinberg Hotel, 13 Jan Jonker Street, Klein Windhoek, on 13 October 2026.

CrowdStrike Named a Leader in the 2026 IDC MarketScape for Modern Endpoint Security for Enterprises.

CrowdStrike Named a Leader in the 2026 IDC MarketScape for Modern Endpoint Security for Enterprises. AUSTIN, Texas - October 7, 2026 - CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) today announced it has been named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Modern Endpoint Security for Enterprises 2026 Vendor Assessment.[1] AI is now part of every enterprise, and the endpoint is where agents act autonomously at machine speed with system-level privilege. CrowdStrike pioneered AI-native EDR and is defining what customers need to secure AI with AI Detection and Response (AIDR). CrowdStrike's AIDR business has grown more than 79-fold[2] in three quarters since launch, with Falcon Guardian securing AI agents at the point of execution. "CrowdStrike pioneered this market, and the world's leading organizations trust the Falcon platform to stop breaches," said AJ Shipley, chief product officer at CrowdStrike. "Deployed across hundreds of millions of devices and powered by cybersecurity's richest data set, CrowdStrike has the structural advantage to lead as AI becomes the new attack surface. We secure AI where it executes, on the endpoint at runtime, and we believe this recognition reflects how we continue to define the future of security." Giving Defenders the AI Advantage As adversaries weaponize AI and compress the defender's window to respond, the report notes "every vendor in this market now markets AI, so the question is no longer whether AI is present but whether it is applied where it changes outcomes." CrowdStrike's profile notes some key strengths including "deep AI and agentic investment translating into reported SOC efficiency gains, backed by a very large real-time telemetry pipeline processing trillions of events daily." One Unified Platform to Stop Cross-Domain Attacks AI-driven threats don't stay on the endpoint; they target every domain at once. CrowdStrike's unified architecture extends real-time protection across the enterprise. The IDC MarketScape noted another key strength: "broad, natively delivered platform spanning endpoint, identity, cloud, data, exposure management, and increasingly browser and mobile security, reducing reliance on third-party point products." CrowdStrike & CyberCert back SMB1001 for small firms.

CrowdStrike & CyberCert back SMB1001 for small firms. Wed, 7th Oct 2026 (Today) CrowdStrike has partnered with CyberCert to provide cybersecurity and certification support to small and medium-sized businesses in Australia and New Zealand, with a focus on readiness for the SMB1001 cybersecurity standard. The partnership combines CrowdStrike's Falcon platform with CyberCert's certification services, giving managed security services partners a way to package security monitoring and certification support for smaller business customers. Under the arrangement, managed providers can offer Falcon-based services alongside help for clients seeking SMB1001 certification. For a limited period, qualifying customers and managed security services partners will also be able to access complimentary SMB1001 certification credits. CyberCert describes SMB1001 as a multi-level cybersecurity certification framework for small and midsized businesses. It is intended to help those businesses assess their cyber posture and improve it over time. The partnership targets a part of the market that often lacks dedicated security teams and specialist expertise, despite facing many of the same cyber risks as larger organisations. Vendors and service providers have increasingly focused on smaller businesses as attacks on supply chains and outsourced providers have widened the range of potential entry points for attackers. Channel focus The companies are positioning the offering through managed security services partners rather than selling certification support directly to end customers. That approach reflects the role of service providers in the small business market, where external partners often manage security tools, compliance work and operational support. For CrowdStrike, the deal adds a certification pathway to its partner-led security offering in Australia and New Zealand. For CyberCert, it expands the channels through which SMB1001 can reach smaller businesses that already rely on managed providers for cyber defence. Jon Fox, Vice President of Channels and Alliances, CrowdStrike Japan and Asia Pacific, said smaller firms were under growing pressure from attackers using artificial intelligence. "SMBs face increasingly sophisticated AI threats without the security resources of the world's largest enterprises," said Jon Fox, Vice President of Channels and Alliances, CrowdStrike Japan and Asia Pacific. "Together with CyberCert, we're giving MSSPs a powerful way to bring enterprise-grade, AI-native protection to more SMBs while helping customers advance their cybersecurity maturity." Certification path CyberCert said SMB1001 is designed specifically for smaller organisations and is recognised by insurers, enterprises and governments. Standards of this kind can help businesses show customers, supply-chain partners and underwriters that they have taken formal steps to manage cyber risk. The new arrangement links that certification process with outsourced security services, a model that may appeal to businesses without internal security staff. It also gives managed providers a way to add assessment and certification work to existing endpoint, cloud or identity security services. Ryan Ettridge, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of CyberCert, said the link between cyber defence and standards compliance was becoming more important for smaller companies. "Today's threat landscape demands SMBs strengthen their cybersecurity while keeping pace with evolving standards," said Ryan Ettridge, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of CyberCert. "By partnering with CrowdStrike, we're enabling MSSPs to help SMBs progress toward SMB1001 certification while building stronger cyber defences with the Falcon platform." The announcement highlights how cybersecurity suppliers are increasingly bundling technology, advisory support and formal standards work into partner-led offers for smaller businesses, which often need to balance cost pressures with customer and insurer demands for stronger cyber controls.
