Requirements
  • 4+ years' experience within an onboarding function in Financial Services including execution of AML/KYC control processes
  • Knowledge of the UK and/or EU regulatory landscape and standards applied locally and globally with regard to AML/KYC and MiFID II – additional qualifications (e.g. CAMS) an advantage
  • Experience of leadership through project work or ownership of group tasks, including influencing key stakeholders to achieve positive results
  • Experience of developing meaningful MIS / KPI’s to illustrate key risks and the health of the business/function
  • Track record of introducing new ideas and helping to drive change
  • Self-starter and tenacious
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate messages concisely to management and clients
  • Excellent analytical skills and critical thinking abilities, proven ability to prioritise projects, innovative thinking, and a client-focused approach
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member
  • Strong eye for detail and an ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence internal stakeholders at different levels of seniority
  • English a prerequisite with additional foreign languages an advantage
Responsibilities
  • Active team leadership and participation in the AML/KYC onboarding process across all MarketAxess business lines and product types
  • Identifying and investigating potential ‘red flags’ in the onboarding process and escalating to management and/or Compliance where applicable
  • Contributing to the on-going evolution and enhancement of the Onboarding process/function in partnership with key internal stakeholders
  • Leading project-based work, as required, from concept through to implementation; periodically updating the Onboarding manager and relevant stakeholders on progress
  • Producing, maintaining and distributing management information internally
  • Making updates to procedural documentation and internal user guides to maintain accuracy and ensure consistency of application
  • Prioritise, review and escalate outstanding issues / control weaknesses and log them accordingly in a timely manner
  • Develop strong relationships with a variety of internal teams and key stakeholders, including Client Services, Sales Teams, Compliance and Business Management
  • Actively participate in RCSA reviews for the Controls/Onboarding team, ensuring adjustments in risk ratings and controls are captured and raised appropriately

MarketAxess holds steady despite industry decline, eyes $909M revenue in 2026

The New York-based company has a market capitalisation of $6.2 billion. The Zacks Consensus Estimate projects 2026 earnings of $8.12 per share, representing a 9.9% year-over-year increase, with revenues expected to reach $909.1 million. MarketAxess has beaten earnings estimates in each of the past four quarters. The company is benefiting from rising trading volumes, particularly in treasury and credit markets, and its All-to-All Open Trading platform. Strategic acquisitions of Xtrakter and Pragma, along with partnerships with BlackRock and S&P Dow Jones Indices, are expanding its capabilities. MarketAxess ended 2025 with $519.7 million in cash.

MarketAxess posts mixed Q4 results but bulls eye AI-driven growth and 8–9% revenue expansion

MarketAxess Holdings Inc., an electronic trading platform operator, reported mixed fourth-quarter 2025 results with revenue of $209 million, up 3% year-over-year but below consensus. Earnings per share of $1.69 beat estimates by 3%, though adjusted operating margins declined to 36.8% due to investments in technology and AI. Transaction volumes were uneven, with credit and rates average daily volumes declining 8% and 17% respectively. However, automated block trading surged 125% among top clients, and US high-yield portfolio trading volumes rose 126% in January 2026. Management targets 8-9% revenue growth over three years with margin expansion of approximately 100 basis points, driven by increased electronic penetration and AI integration. The company's stock has declined roughly 32% since November 2024 coverage.

In this role, Mr. Quan will lead the company's global Technology organization with a mandate to advance innovation, support ongoing technology modernization, and strengthen execution across the enterprise.
