Responsibilities

Assist in the design and execution of process development experiments (generate procedures, execute/document experiments, generate/analyze data, write summary reports)
Primary and immortalized mammalian cell culture and passaging
Kitting, verification and assistance during cell therapy process development runs within a small team
Provide support with characterization (i.e., cell counting, flow cytometry, biochemical assays) of samples generated during cell process development runs
Conduct small-scale process development experiments and Design of Experiments to enable process improvements, process characterization, and develop the process control strategy
Contribute to trouble-shooting of process unit operations
Perform data compilation, analysis and interpretation, including presentations to the team

Co-Op Assignment Overview

Prime Medicine is seeking a co-op for the Spring 2024 cycle with experience in cell biology, chemical engineering or bioengineering to join the Cell PD team. The candidate will be involved in developing and characterizing a cell therapy manufacturing process involving prime editing of primary human cells for the treatment of hematological indications. The candidate will work in a highly collaborative team across Technical Operations and R&D in a fast-paced, exciting lab-based work environment. In this role, you will learn about the principles of bioprocessing, ex vivo gene editing and hematopoietic stem cell biology.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist in the design and execution of process development experiments (generate procedures, execute/document experiments, generate/analyze data, write summary reports).
