Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited university.
  • Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering, any state.
  • Minimum of 5 years of electrical design experience in commercial, industrial, or military buildings.
  • Thorough understanding of electrical engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate concepts and designs to others.
  • Ability to communicate with project managers, superintendents, clients, and subcontractors your design intent.
  • Proficient user of REVIT. This position will be required to produce drawings.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare designs and develop construction drawings for lighting, lighting control systems, power distribution, grounding systems, backup power generation equipment, communications, electronic safety, access control and intrusion detection systems.
  • Prepare project specifications in CSI format, design calculations, and basis of design documents.
  • Serve as a resource throughout construction by answering RFIs and reviewing technical submittals for adherence to design and applicable codes.
  • Ensure strict compliance with applicable codes including the NEC and NFPA 70.
  • Implement rigorous quality control measures for design and contribute to the development of overall design standards.
  • Attend Project Delivery Team meetings to stay updated and contribute to the project's progress.
  • Conduct technical reviews for electrical designs provided by external consultants.
  • Occasionally travel to jobsites out of town as necessary to support ongoing construction and bidding process.
  • Adhere strictly to Adamo Policies and Procedures to maintain a consistent and professional approach.
