Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited university.
Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering, any state.
Minimum of 5 years of electrical design experience in commercial, industrial, or military buildings.
Thorough understanding of electrical engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate concepts and designs to others.
Ability to communicate with project managers, superintendents, clients, and subcontractors your design intent.
Proficient user of REVIT. This position will be required to produce drawings.
Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

Prepare designs and develop construction drawings for lighting, lighting control systems, power distribution, grounding systems, backup power generation equipment, communications, electronic safety, access control and intrusion detection systems.
Prepare project specifications in CSI format, design calculations, and basis of design documents.
Serve as a resource throughout construction by answering RFIs and reviewing technical submittals for adherence to design and applicable codes.
Ensure strict compliance with applicable codes including the NEC and NFPA 70.
Implement rigorous quality control measures for design and contribute to the development of overall design standards.
Attend Project Delivery Team meetings to stay updated and contribute to the project's progress.
Conduct technical reviews for electrical designs provided by external consultants.
Occasionally travel to jobsites out of town as necessary to support ongoing construction and bidding process.
Adhere strictly to Adamo Policies and Procedures to maintain a consistent and professional approach.

As an Electrical Engineer-PE, you will be essential to furthering our mission by serving as a subject matter expert for electrical and low voltage systems.
