Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in VDC/BIM project coordination, digital practice, model-based quality assurance and quality control, or standards-focused roles.
  • Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and model-centric workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to review model outputs against defined standards.
  • Ability to write and maintain clear documentation, including standard operating procedures, checklists, standards, and job aids.
  • Experience with coordination and issue-management tools or workflows, including platforms such as Navisworks, Revizto, or BIM 360/ACC.
  • High school diploma.
  • Must be based in or able to commute to Eagan, Minnesota.
  • Ability to perform the stated physical duties, including frequent sitting, occasional kneeling, reaching, stooping, crouching, crawling, and occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Support development and refinement of the department’s quality-control program, including checklists, redlining workflows, and audit practices.
  • Execute Whole Model quality control throughout the project lifecycle to maintain model health and data integrity.
  • Enforce established quality standards for construction-team deliverables and reject or stop submittals until requirements are met.
  • Audit models for missing annotations, formatting inconsistencies, material schedule errors, and improper parameter usage.
  • Assist with constructability reviews to ensure modeled systems align with internal standards.
  • Identify recurring quality issues and support root-cause analysis to inform standards updates and training.
  • Maintain and update department standards, VDC standard operating procedures, and project-specific GO-BY materials.
  • Capture feedback from designers and project teams to support continuous improvement of standards and documentation.
  • Support documentation and rollout of new workflows and software initiatives, providing clear guidance to end users.
  • Collaborate with the VDC Process Manager to test and implement updates to templates, standards, and file organization.
  • Support internal coordination workflows that promote early and consistent model coordination by designers.
  • Participate in coordination routines, including issue tracking and resolution follow-up.
  • Assist in maintaining coordination expectations and documentation across projects.
  • Coordinate with the Revit content-creation process to align quality-control findings with automation opportunities and content standards.
  • Track quality metrics and production trends, including common defect types and rework drivers, for department reporting and improvement efforts.
  • Provide day-to-day support to designers to reinforce standards and improve modeling practices.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement and workflow optimization.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting rollout and adoption of new software platforms through process documentation, training aids, and change adoption.
  • Awareness of automation tools such as Dynamo, Python, or the Revit API.
  • Experience facilitating coordination and quality-control routines across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Familiarity with Lean and continuous-improvement concepts and basic quality reporting.
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
