- 3 - 5 years of System Administration knowledge Redhat/Oracle Linux; certifications preferred
- Installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of Oracle Fusion Middleware software in a Linux environment.
- Experience with multi-tiered application environments.
- Experience with LDAP-based enterprise directories.
- Ability to demonstrate track record of maintaining server integrity and uptime.
- Experience writing shell scripts to automate tasks.
- Proven experience troubleshooting issues that occur with the applications running on Linux servers.
- Create and run Oracle VMware instances for the purpose of building a redundant, stable application hosting architecture.
- Install, upgrade, and patch Oracle Fusion Middleware software.
- Monitor and evaluate efficiency of system usage and make recommendations to management to improve performance.
- Troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Prepare, update and maintain technical documentation.
- Preventative and proactive system monitoring.
- Experience using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) to manage an application hosting environment.
- Web Application development.
- Java application development.
