Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a personal injury paralegal.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Windows-based software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research to support attorneys in asbestos-related personal injury cases, including gathering information on asbestos-containing products, exposure sources, and relevant laws and regulations.
- Assist in preparing legal documents, including complaints, notices, motions, and discovery requests and responses related to asbestos cases.
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring documents and evidence are properly indexed and accessible in SmartAdvocate.
- Interact with clients to gather information, provide updates on case progress, and assist with answering their questions and concerns.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling correspondence related to asbestos cases.
