  • BA/BS degree
  • 3+ years minimum health actuarial experience
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment
Responsibilities
  • Serve as an actuary on complex actuarial and quantitative analysis projects
  • Perform increasingly complex analyses and cost projections by using or modifying existing pricing models with some input and feedback from senior project members
  • Prepare reports of data trend analyses in order to summarize findings and recommend strategies and solutions to the client
  • Gather, organize, test, and review client or vendor data for accuracy and validity and identify any discrepancies within the data
Desired Qualifications
  • Medicaid actuarial experience (any state program, health insurer, or Federal Agency) or actuarial consulting experience
  • Actuarial credentials (ASA, FSA, MAAA)
  • Experience related to health plan analysis or capitated rate development
