Requirements
  • At least 8 years of engineering experience, including experience as a technical lead or engineering lead on customer-facing or production artificial intelligence projects.
  • Experience making independent technical decisions across system design, evaluation, integration, and iteration.
  • Experience leading engineers through technical decision-making, execution, mentorship, and delivery; management experience is not required.
  • Strong solutions architecture fundamentals, including cloud systems, system integrations, application programming interface design, and data engineering.
  • Ability to understand how an artificial intelligence system fits into a broader enterprise ecosystem and operate as a peer to customer architecture and engineering teams.
  • Daily use of artificial intelligence tools to write and debug code, explore designs, analyze data, and automate repetitive work.
  • Willingness to travel 10–30%, depending on the project, customer needs, and role on the engagement.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of artificial intelligence engineers, owning technical direction, code quality, execution standards, and individual growth.
  • Design and implement artificial intelligence systems that combine models, agents, retrieval, evaluation, and execution into coherent, production-ready systems aligned with business outcomes.
  • Work directly with customer stakeholders in high-visibility settings and communicate system behavior, tradeoffs, limitations, and improvement paths.
  • Operate and improve live artificial intelligence systems by measuring behavior, identifying failure modes, debugging issues, and iterating on quality, reliability, and usefulness.
  • Integrate artificial intelligence systems into customer data platforms, application programming interfaces, and existing applications.
  • Make system design decisions that balance speed, robustness, maintainability, and long-term operability.
  • Take accountability for production outcomes and adapt systems as requirements evolve.
