Shaw Industries is seeking to hire a supervisor to lead our Regional Redistribution Center (RDC) located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This leader will have ownership of the associate and customer experience at Shaw’s Oklahoma City location. Facility processes include, but are not limited to, receiving, storing, order processing, shipping, and delivery of floor covering, turf and related materials, and the associates involved with those processes.
This supervisor will have on-site responsibility for facility operations, including oversight of RDC staff, and could also be involved in performing daily RDC processes on a regular basis. These duties could include lift truck operation (receiving and shipping), clerical and administrative functions, order processing, and residential deliveries, as needed. This supervisor will report to a Shaw RDC Manager at another Shaw location.
Responsibilities:
Direct up to 13 associates total, consisting of eight Class-A CDL drivers and as many as five warehouse/office associates.
Service Shaw customers in designated areas of Oklahoma, Missouri, and Kansas market.
Ensure a safe work environment is provided for all associates to include compliance with all DOT and OSHA requirements
Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with all employees in the facility. Conduct regular associate meetings as required/needed to discuss safety, quality, and policy requirements.
Motivate associates by assisting and empowering them to achieve facility goals and implement improvement processes as needed.
Ensure effective utilization of RDC assets.
Serve as the point of contact for customers, Shaw sales, and internal business partners, maintaining effective communication and issue resolution.
Monitor and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction, identifying any opportunities to enhance service, resolve service gaps, and strengthen relationships.
Collaborate with delivery partners to schedule and track customer deliveries, ensuring on-time service.
Document the need for and recommend disciplinary action when warranted.
Qualifications:
2+ years of lead/supervisory experience in a distribution/warehouse environment. Bachelor's or associate degree preferred. High School Diploma/GED required.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities/tasks.
Must have good computer skills including but not limited to Excel, Word, and other software programs. Familiarity/proficiency with order management systems and Point of Sale technologies is preferred.
