Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Support prompt, high-quality repairs for rental, lease, and contract maintenance vehicles through a variety of activities.
  • Accurately record and communicate the customer-requested return date.
  • Communicate frequently and accurately with customers throughout the scheduling process, including the initial request, repair-progress updates, and scheduling completed repair pickups.
  • Greet customers and employees in a welcoming manner, maintain appropriate eye contact and tone of voice, and communicate frequently to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Offer viable alternatives when a customer request cannot be met, communicate limitations openly, and help customers plan accordingly.
  • Assist the Service Manager and Service Supervisor in optimizing daily shop-floor operations.
  • Communicate daily successes and setbacks in customer need times to the Service Manager.
  • Work closely with the parts division to receive parts accurately and promptly.
  • Process purchase orders, receive inventory, and attach parts to each work order accurately.
  • Procure and classify shop supplies and maintain a healthy inventory for cycle counting.
  • Ensure warranty opportunities are captured, parts are reconciled, and submissions are completed for each work-order claim.
  • Open, update, and close work orders for each repair, including reviewing and initially approving the complaint, cause, and correction for every work order.
  • Process vendor payables and sublet purchase orders through the accounts payable department.
  • Assist with compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including licensing and vehicle-related technology.
  • Use a case-management system to schedule, communicate, and process repair and maintenance accurately and proactively.
  • Assist the rental department with quality-check inspections, check-in and check-out, and regulatory documents.
  • Aggregate maintenance and repair work orders and communicate each work order's priority to the Service Supervisor or Foreman.
  • Capture detailed information from customers, rental, sales, and drivers to schedule repairs, inspections, and maintenance in the shop and with outside vendors.
  • Assist the Service Supervisor or Foreman in maintaining shop activity flow and communicate unforeseen bottlenecks or productivity barriers.
  • Manage work orders, maintenance scheduling, breakdown triage, rental check-in and check-out, quality checks, inspections, and timely work-order opening, updating, and closing.
  • Communicate work-order issues to the Service Manager.
  • Maintain vehicles in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, including licensing and vehicle-related technology.
  • Procure and process parts and shop payables through the accounts payable department and maintain a healthy inventory.
