Requirements
  • OSHPD or DSA Certified MEP professional
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering preferred
  • 5+ years of experience working on hospital projects or similar
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite programs, Primavera P6, project management software, accounting cost management software, and scheduling software
  • Experience in cost estimating, budgeting, and systems procurement
  • Experience in coordinating MEP systems on large scale projects and knowledge of LEED
  • Flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines
  • Excellent communicator, mentor, and manager with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Understanding of Building Codes, Mechanical Codes, Electrical Codes, and Plumbing Codes
  • Experience in developing detailed project status reports and reviewing change orders
  • Experience in start-up and commissioning of MEP systems
  • Experience in resolving technical problems with architects and subcontractors
  • Experience in conducting site visits and performing detailed inspections of work in progress
Responsibilities
  • Act as an owner’s representative and be the client's trusted advisor and partner
  • Mentor and lead, manage schedule, scope, and budget
  • Manage overall direction for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection and all documentation throughout the project
  • Review MEP related submittals and confirm compliance with design criteria and contract
  • Coordinate materials procurement and other related activities and communicate progress
  • Maintain client advocacy throughout each phase of the project with specific focus on MEP systems
  • Facilitate the 3‐D coordination process to resolve conflicts prior to installation
  • Develop detailed project status reports and review change orders
  • Assist in developing plans for start‐up and commissioning of MEP systems
  • Interface with project stakeholders and commissioning agent and review all commissioning related documentation
  • Conduct site visits to perform detailed inspections of work in progress and resolve technical problems
  • Review change order pricing and resolve any technical problems encountered with the architect
