Join our ManTech team of highly talented engineers as a Project Engineer with skills and background related to space launch vehicle design and mission assurance.
Provide LV systems engineering expertise at our Denver, CO offices.
Areas of expertise: Composites, Launch Vehicles (LVs), Cryogenic Systems, Mechanical/Pneumatic Systems, Propellant Supply Systems, Solid Rocket Motors (SRMs), ordnance, structures, or launch operations.
Plan, coordinate, participate, lead Engineering Review Boards, provide risk assessments and technical recommendations.
Prepare status and readiness review packages including risk recommendations and mitigations
Review and analyze launch vehicle component & system design, manufacturing, test, & launch data.
Produce integrated technical assessments on design, test, manufacturing, and operations.
Support acquisition functions: requirements, RFPs, source selection, data submittals, award fees.
Perform systems engineering functions such as requirements definition, design review, test review, pedigree, hardware acceptance, verification, operations, and post-flight analyses.
Prepare Customer team for, and directly support, rehearsals and launch operations, including the anomaly resolution process.
Perform technical and engineering data management, such as data mining and reporting.
Collaborate with Aerospace Corporation, Launch Vehicle Contractors (LVCs), Launch Sites, production factories.
Prepare weekly and other written evaluations and reports of a technical nature.
Serve as authority in LV Structures and Composite systems; support USSF customers in the preparation for and execution of Chief Engineer briefings, Weekly Status Reviews, and other SSC processes.
Execute customer process improvement initiatives on behalf of the ULA product line
Serve as authority in LV Mission Assurance processes system design; support USSF customers in the preparation for and execution of Chief Engineer briefings, Weekly Status Reviews, and other SSC processes.
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or STEM field.
Minimum of 10 years systems engineering, technical program management, or other related experience with at least 3 years of AATS, Launch/Range, DoD, NASA or industry equivalent launch or space systems project engineering experience.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a minimum DoD Secret clearance.
Knowledge/experience with LV systems (solid rockets motors, liquid propellant rocket engines and systems, ordnance, hydraulics, in-flight avionics, LV ground support equipment, LV structures, composite materials, etc.)
Knowledge of USAF and NASA launch and range systems and operations.
Experience with LV design, processing, integration, testing, launch and anomaly resolution.
Ability to assess design drawings, processes, and procedures of propulsion systems.
Ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams during design, test, and evolution.
Ability to perform design reviews, pre- and post-test reviews, procedures reviews, failure analysis.
Ability to collaborate effectively with the USAF, USSF, NASA, NRO, LVCs, and Aerospace Corp.
Ability to work effectively with Los Angeles AFB (SMC) Launch Enterprise.
Ability to (learn how to and) operate DOL data systems and provide training to customers and colleagues to support polling, status reporting, and anomaly resolution.
Knowledge of Atlas, Delta and/or Vulcan system design, manufacture, test, and operations preferred.
Experience with USSF, NRO, NASA, and LV Contractors and subcontractors preferred.
Ability giving written and verbal presentations and reports to senior engineers and management.

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
The projected compensation range for this position is $100,800-$168,700. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
