Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of benefits administration and human resources experience, preferably in a startup environment
- High level attention to detail, strong communication skills, and expert knowledge of benefits administration
- Experience negotiating with and managing the services of external benefits providers
- An active problem solver with strong proficiency in HRIS systems and data analysis tools
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Customer service oriented with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Demonstrated ability to scale, drive, and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment while leveraging data and analytics
- Passion for sustainability and contributing to positive change
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy, management and communication of benefits programs, including health insurance, leave policies and other fringe benefits
- Serve as the primary benefits contact company-wide, understanding benefits details to confidently educate employees, answer questions and resolve enrollment issues
- Collaborate and negotiate with benefits providers on benefits packages and one determined, ensure smooth and accurate enrollment, termination, and changes
- Oversee new hire and annual open enrollment periods, including company-wide communications, resources, and questions
- Conduct data analysis on company benefits to identify trends, address areas of improvement, and drive positive, data-driven changes
- Keep current with benefit trends and regulations to help Redwood’s offerings remain competitive
- Focus on process improvement and recommendations; contributing to HR projects and initiatives as needed
Redwood Materials is developing a closed-loop, domestic supply chain for lithium-ion batteries, focusing on engineering sustainability by transforming the battery supply chain and offering large-scale sources of domestic anode and cathode materials produced from an increasing number of recycled batteries.
