Requirements
  • This is a general posting; during interview process you will inform the recruiter which area you would like to work in (Food Services, Environmental Services or laundry).
Responsibilities
  • Culinary & Hospitality Associate Level 1: Work under general supervision and according to established procedures to complete all assigned duties.
  • Culinary & Hospitality Associate Level 1: Work comfortably on your own, as you may need to move throughout the facility to in-patient units, kitchens and cafes.
  • Culinary & Hospitality Associate Level 1: Deliver meals to patient rooms.
  • Culinary & Hospitality Associate Level 1: Introduce the patient menu to residents –discuss the meal options and ordering process, and explain prescribed diet and/or dietary restrictions based on the physician’s diet order.
  • Culinary & Hospitality Associate Level 1: Assist patients and families with meal ordering, using the Bronson Room Service computer system.
  • Culinary & Hospitality Associate Level 1: Answer the Bronson Room Service phone line and take meal orders.
  • Culinary & Hospitality Associate Level 1: Light and heavy cleaning, as assigned, including dishwashing and trash.
  • Culinary & Hospitality Associate Level 1: Operation of cash register and patient meal ordering system(s).
  • Culinary & Hospitality Associate Level 2: Follow strict dietary guidelines and sanitation standards set forth by the Food and Nutrition Department.
  • Culinary & Hospitality Associate Level 2: Function as a cook within both retail and in-patient culinary environments.
  • Culinary & Hospitality Associate Level 2: Work quickly and efficiently, while maintaining composure and a positive attitude while working in busy kitchen environment.
  • Culinary & Hospitality Associate Level 2: Properly prepare snacks and meals for residents using a variety of cooking methods.
  • Culinary & Hospitality Associate Level 2: Prepare, portion, distribute and store various hot and cold food items according to recipes, production sheets, portion control standards, established procedures, and/or specific instructions.
  • Culinary & Hospitality Associate Level 2: Measure, wash, clean, mix and combine ingredients for preparation of food production items (e.g., peels, dices, shreds, and slices fruit, vegetables, and other items).
  • Culinary & Hospitality Associate Level 2: Stock and fill food, label and date products.
  • Culinary & Hospitality Associate Level 2: Operate automatic appliances and manual kitchen utensils.
  • EVS Associate: Maintain a clean, orderly and attractive facility.
  • EVS Associate: Clean lobbies, waiting rooms, rest rooms, utility rooms, exam rooms, offices, stairwells and other areas assigned.
  • EVS Associate: Dust and clean patients’ rooms and bathrooms to maintain a clean and orderly environment for patients, staff, families and visitors.
  • EVS Associate: Remove trash from assigned areas and transports to disposal area.
  • EVS Associate: Cleans equipment and stores in assigned locations.
  • EVS Associate: Restocking of supplies in work areas as needed.
  • EVS Associate: May operate mechanical floor equipment such as IMops, vacuums, sweepers and other related environmental equipment.
  • EVS Associate: Document and maintain records of assigned cleaning tasks.
  • EVS Associate: Communicate information and requests as appropriate to the nurse and/or nurse aide.
  • EVS Associate: Receive working instructions, as work is frequently checked for accuracy and compliance with the established standards of quality and quantity.
  • Laundry Associate: Maintain all laundry equipment in a sanitary fashion.
  • Laundry Associate: Launder facility linens and patient personal clothing.
  • Laundry Associate: Deliver and stock linen and return personal patient clothing to assigned room.
  • Laundry Associate: Coordinates activities related to laundry services with supervisor, as needed.
  • Laundry Associate: Remove trash/linen from assigned areas and transports to disposal area.
