Requirements
  • The candidate must currently be enrolled as a student at the University of Washington.
  • Undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least 6 credits, excluding correspondence credits.
  • Graduate and professional students must be enrolled in at least 4 credits, excluding correspondence credits.
  • Ph.D. candidates working on dissertations must be enrolled in at least 2 credits, excluding correspondence credits.
  • The candidate must be approved for On Leave status when applicable.
  • Student employees are limited to working 19.5 hours per week when classes are in session, with increased hours permitted during school breaks or when on leave.
Responsibilities
  • Perform general office functions.
  • Enter data into records management software.
  • Update logs, spreadsheets, and databases to track office activity and client interactions.
  • Assist with creating and updating record series and the UW Medicine Records Retention Schedule.
  • Perform special projects and other assigned tasks.
  • Enter data into forms for the transplant business and financial teams from electronic medical records using Epic.
  • Prepare clinical information for regulatory forms and audits.
  • Review invoices for laboratories and Bloodworks Northwest.
  • Submit information to regulatory agencies.
  • Request copies of forms from Organ Procurement Organizations, tax agencies, and other facilities.
  • Review and prepare charts for transplant financial counselor appointments.
