MANAGER OF OPERATIONS

Starlink, our revolutionary satellite constellation, will deliver low-latency broadband internet worldwide. You will join the Growth team that is responsible for launching, growing, and improving Starlink around the world. This team will be located at our Hawthorne, CA headquarters but may relocate as needs demand.

As Manager of Starlink Operations, you will be responsible for coordinating operations across many departments to support the global growth of the business, including sales, production, supply chain, fulfillment, logistics, network, and customer success. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build and lead a team of business analysts, planners, operations engineers
• Develop tools and processes to forecast and align demand and supply across all product lines (standard and high-performance terminals, accessories, new products)
• Drive alignment across senior leaders from all Starlink departments for long-term program targets, including demand, user terminal production, satellite, gateways to ensure the business grows in unison
• Coordinate replenishment and fulfillment strategy across global distribution centers for all product lines, produced in multiple locations
• Lead efforts to operationally prepare for and manage new product introductions and transitions away from older products
• Ensure operational readiness to support new markets and lead expansion efforts, coordinating with network, engineering, supply chain and production teams
• Monitor and communicate risks to leadership, taking ownership of initiatives 
• Determine pricing across all Starlink products and maintain product catalog
• Proactively identify operational challenges, determine root causes, drive and implement solutions, championing continuous improvement

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree 
• 4+ years professional experience in engineering, operations, finance, program management, or consulting
• 1+ years of managing a team

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 6+ years of experience working cross-functionally between business, engineering, and production teams
• Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across disciplines and with multiple levels of management
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills, and a track record of successfully leading complex initiatives
• Start-up, consulting, or other demonstrated experience in high-growth, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
• Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences at all organizational levels
• Strong project management, organization, and prioritization skills 
• Comfortable with autonomy, and passionate about building out new processes and tools
• Customer-centric, data-driven approach with systems thinking and creativity
• Proficiency with modeling, reporting, data analysis and visualization

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
• Willingness to travel to customer sites, other SpaceX locations, and events as needed

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:             

Pay Range:

Manager of Operations: $130,000.00 -$180,000.00/per year

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
