POSITION PURPOSE:
This strategic leader understands business drivers for success and knows how to leverage leading practices to ensure Accounts Payable (AP) is streamlined and efficient. You will be responsible for oversight of the invoice processing and payment requests for multiple legal entities. This position proactively works with enterprise-wide stakeholders as a strategic partner between Accounts Payable and operations. This position must use independent judgement and initiative in the planning, organization, assignment and reporting of work.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partners with CIM Group leaders on sensitive or urgent initiatives, leveraging accounts payable best practices and strategies to ensure effective implementation and execution. Directs the coordination of cross-functional initiatives. Ensures the initiatives and related activities are successfully executed.
- Ensures that Procure to Pay (P2P) processes are consistently applied across the enterprise and manages governance to ensure compliance, understanding and remediate gaps. Works closely with Development, Investments, Fund and Property Management, other departments, as required.
- Collaborates proactively with Treasury, Accounting and Information Technology departments to optimize accounting technology through system upgrades and other proven automation practices to build efficiencies and stay ahead of the latest technological trends.
- Directs, coaches and develops a diverse team to meet deliverables timely and fosters a customer centric culture focused on identifying and supporting issues, leadership efforts, strategic initiatives, and development projects in concert with internal leaders and stakeholders.
- Directs the day-to-day invoice processing activities, including intercompany invoices, to ensure resources are used effectively and efficiently. Serve as a subject-matter-expert and provide counsel for projects while developing, implementing, updating and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Directs the employee expense processing in line with the company policy and escalates policy violations
- Manages invoice aging and collaborates with vendors to resolve any issues
- Develops and monitors KPIs and metrics to measure performance and service delivery of the AP team
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (including certification, licenses, etc.)
- Bachelor’s Degree (Accounting, Finance or Business Administration major preferred)
- 7+ Years of Accounts Payable and related systems experience
- Must have demonstrated experience with accounting software and a comprehensive understanding of GAAP

Actual base salary considers several factors including but not limited to geography, job-related knowledge, experience, and budget. The start of the salary range is typically associated with the minimum experience required.
At CIM, base pay is one part of the total compensation package. This role is eligible for bonus pay in addition to base salary. The anticipated base salary range for the position in Los Angeles is $135,000- $185,000.
