Requirements
  • Electrical education
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with Solidworks electrical or similar CAD software
  • Knowledge of NASA-STD-8739.4 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards
  • Familiarity with signal and communication standards such as RS-232, RS-422, SRIO, XAUI, Ethernet, SpaceWire, telemetry, MIL-STD-1553, LVDS, and SGMII
  • Experience with fiber optic cabling for space flight
  • Experience with Vector Network Analyzers (VNA) for collecting S-parameter data
Responsibilities
  • Design cable assemblies and interconnects for GSE applications
  • Interface with other groups to ensure functionality and manufacturability of design approaches
  • Manage and release drawings for assemblies
  • Maintain bill of materials for assemblies
  • Design complete cable and test configurations for EMI testing to MIL-STD-461
  • Design complete cable and test configurations for TVAC testing meeting outgassing requirements
  • Coordinate scheduling with program leadership
  • Assist manufacturing with documentation, tooling, and support
  • Design cable assemblies for flight applications to customer requirements
  • Assist in the improvement and documentation of SEAKR processes
Desired Qualifications
