Who We Want
At $2B in revenue and growing, Arrive is expanding our accounting and finance team with a Senior Accounting Analyst position. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this role will have a heavy hand in the month-end close process for our US and Corporate subsidiaries, specifically by being responsible for journal entries, account reconciliations, variance reporting and other account/department analysis needs. The ideal candidate will have an eye for technical accounting, helping to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This person should be detail oriented, dedicated and embrace the challenges of a growth environment.
What You’ll Do
- Perform month-end close responsibilities including complex journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting.
- Look for and suggest ways to help accelerate the close process.
- Review GL coding and cost center assignment to ensure correct management reporting and understanding of key trends.
- Support cost center management with decision support and expense management.
- Collaborate with AP, AR, Payroll & Cash Application teams to ensure accurate accounting as needed.
- Assist with reporting and draft MD&A level commentary for monthly review.
- Participate in the preparation of the annual budget.
- Draft professional presentation materials to discuss financial trends and variances.
- Use strong GAAP knowledge to ensure that accounting processes are GAAP compliant. Perform and document related technical research as needed.
- Responsible for accounting documentation creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures. Act as subject matter expert for general accounting processes. Provide suggestions and implement improvements and efficiencies.
- Prepare for and participate in external audit requests.
- Work with our internal Tax group on tax reporting and analysis as needed.
- Create ad-hoc reports and analyses to support cross-functional teams as well as the Finance and accounting team.
- Assist with overall process improvements, leveraging automation in NetSuite and special projects as identified or needed.
- Assist with systems implementations and integrations as identified or needed.
- Serve as a mentor to junior analysts/accountants as applicable.
- Other duties as needed or assigned.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. Master’s Degree is a plus.
- CPA or CPA-track required.
- Work experience: 3+ years of experience in financial accounting, reporting, or audit; or 2+ years of audit and 2+ years of industry experience; or 4+ years of experience in a related or transferrable expertise industry.
- Audit experience preferred, Big 4 experience highly preferred.
- Experience with NetSuite or other similar ERP and Adaptive Insights a plus.
- A high degree of integrity and professionalism with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- A sense of urgency, a hands-on approach, and a “go-getter” attitude.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced environment is a plus.
