Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of related Marketing/ New Product Planning experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in Business Development, Corporate Strategy and/or within Commercial teams desired.
  • Extensive Cardiovascular therapeutic experience required; Specialty CV experience preferred.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related area. M.B.A. is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience navigating complex market scenarios, rapidly changing payer/patient environments and market access barriers.
  • Leadership in the development of global launch and marketing plans.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the drug discovery and drug development processes.
  • A demonstrated in-depth knowledge of regulatory/compliance policies is required.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work in a highly collaborative manner with commercial, clinical development and medical teams
  • Self-motivated, energetic individual who is comfortable working diverse set of projects.
  • Possess a genuine interest in helping to improve the lives of patients and their families who are afflicted with disorders associated with muscle dysfunction.

Responsibilities
  • Establish the strategic commercial direction for the lead cardiac myosin inhibitor, aficamten, and ensure alignment with corporate long-term goals.
  • Develop global strategic plan for the lead cardiac myosin inhibitor, aficamten.
  • Research, evaluate and recommend potential growth strategies through expansion into new indications, markets and related businesses.
  • Develop a strong understanding of market dynamics globally for specialty CV programs in development, especially Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy.
  • Lead lifecycle management planning for lead cardiac myosin inhibitor, aficamten.
  • Lead the development of target product profiles (TPPs) based on current and planned program initiatives.
  • Provide input to the forecasting team based on medical best practices and competitive products in development in cardiovascular indications.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, customers, payers, and industry associations.
  • Coordinate market research and analytics implementation.
  • Serve on cross-functional project team and commercial operating teams providing senior leadership.
  • Contribute to the development of the corporate strategic plan and collaborate with finance team on the corporate long-range plan.
  • Collaborate on long-range strategic implications with business partners.
  • Develop market and opportunity assessments, including disease area understanding and competitive landscapes.
  • Collaborate with program management, medical affairs, and clinical team on therapeutic product profiles.
  • Lead the development of revenue forecasts for aficamten in collaboration with key business partners.
  • Maintain a strong connection to the organization's vision of bringing innovative therapies to patients with muscle dysfunction.
