Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least one year of relevant experience in an educational or childcare setting is required.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Group Leader or Instructor during Summer Rising and support the program curriculum.
  • Facilitate activities including homework help, arts and crafts, sports, health and fitness, nutrition, dance, and STEM education.
  • Implement the diverse activities offered to program participants.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of participants by providing close supervision of all activities.
  • Help Group Leaders supervise, participate in, and administer recreational activities for youth and families.
  • Provide a safe and fun environment for participants in the After-School Program.
  • Assist with implementing age-appropriate and theme-related activities.
  • Assist with distributing and collecting parent surveys.
  • Work cooperatively with peers, professional staff, and other departments.
  • Maintain equipment, storage facilities, and inventory.
  • Work closely with program administration to ensure program quality and best practices.
  • Consult the Program Director when difficult or unfamiliar situations arise.
  • Participate in training sessions, designated meetings, and special events.
  • Maintain a close relationship with and report to the Program Director and Assistant Director regarding delegated tasks and future assignments.
  • Complete job-related tasks and use program time effectively during scheduled working hours.
