Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- At least one year of relevant experience in an educational or childcare setting is required.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Group Leader or Instructor during Summer Rising and support the program curriculum.
- Facilitate activities including homework help, arts and crafts, sports, health and fitness, nutrition, dance, and STEM education.
- Implement the diverse activities offered to program participants.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of participants by providing close supervision of all activities.
- Help Group Leaders supervise, participate in, and administer recreational activities for youth and families.
- Provide a safe and fun environment for participants in the After-School Program.
- Assist with implementing age-appropriate and theme-related activities.
- Assist with distributing and collecting parent surveys.
- Work cooperatively with peers, professional staff, and other departments.
- Maintain equipment, storage facilities, and inventory.
- Work closely with program administration to ensure program quality and best practices.
- Consult the Program Director when difficult or unfamiliar situations arise.
- Participate in training sessions, designated meetings, and special events.
- Maintain a close relationship with and report to the Program Director and Assistant Director regarding delegated tasks and future assignments.
- Complete job-related tasks and use program time effectively during scheduled working hours.
