Requirements
  • Two (2) years related experience is required.
  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Possesses basic computer knowledge and skills (Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
  • Effectively communicates, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to multi task without losing efficiency and quality of work.
  • Ability to think critically in situations where speed and sustained attention are important.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinic with a variety of personalities.
  • Ability to work with a variety of patients including physically and medically compromised patients.
Responsibilities
  • Sterilizes and gives routine care to clinical instruments, supplies and equipment.
  • Sets up instrument trays for treatments and ensures standard trays are ready for use.
  • Assembles surgical carts; tracks and maintains the total inventory of instruments, disposables, and implants.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on clinic handpieces and other clinic equipment.
  • Ensures proper utilization and compliance with clinic, equipment loan policies; follows up on loaned equipment.
  • Assists with developing and implementing procedures and policies related to sterile processing.
  • Makes recommendations to manager regarding tray setups, handpieces and equipment.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
