Ares Management's Private Equity fund has acquired a majority stake in Epika Fleet Services, a leading provider of mobile maintenance and repair services for commercial trucking fleets. This acquisition will provide Epika with significant capital to enhance its service offerings and expand its customer base. Epika operates in nearly 40 states, serving over 2,000 fleet customers. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Ares Management has appointed Richard Sehayek as co-head of Europe for alternative credit.
Synex Business Performance, a leading Canadian insurance brokerage, has gained CDPQ and Ares Management as minority shareholders. This investment will help Synex accelerate growth through acquisitions and expand its market presence. Synex aims to double its size, leveraging CDPQ's equity and debt financing and Ares' capital solutions. The company currently operates over 20 firms with 700 employees, generating over $1 billion in annual premium volume.
