Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics preferred)
  • Hands on experience directly supporting low latency market data and order management systems, internal or third party. Internally supported systems were to have deterministic latency and be written in C++, Java, or OCaml
  • Understanding of and ability to describe the architecture of modern matching engine or market data distribution system or order management system
  • Experience with NUMA nodes/x86 architecture, UDP multicast, hardware accelerated NIC's is a must. Understanding of difference between TCP vs. UDP networking.
  • Technical proficiency with Python, Linux, SQL, Excel, with the ability to debug scripts and code
  • Ability to automate using Python
  • Working knowledge of FIX trading protocol
  • Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude; a high degree of accuracy is required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with friendly demeanor across teams
  • Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines; mentorship of junior members
Responsibilities
  • Monitor in-house state-of-the-art low latency Marketdata and Order Management Systems and provide first level and primary support
  • Software Deployment and support; following best practices for Production in financial markets in a low latency environment with deterministic and robust systems
  • Setup, automations, and to follow up on tasks and postmortems
  • Ownership of production footprint, e.g. identify system improvements, automate daily tasks using Python, document existing and new workflows
